, collects, uses, protects and deletes your 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII). PII, as described in privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read this policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we handle your information.
What personal information do we collect from the people that use our app?
When you create an account in the Kitchener Car Wash app, we collect your
email address
and a
password
. You may optionally provide a
mobile phone number
.
When you buy a wash, wash card or membership, we record your
purchase and wash history
and the wash products associated with your account. Payment card details are entered on, and processed by, our payment gateway provider - they are not stored on our servers.
We also store a
user ID
that identifies your account, and, if you allow notifications, a
device notification token
issued by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send you app notifications.
What we do NOT collect
The Kitchener Car Wash app
does not request or collect your location
. It requests no location permission and uses no GPS or location services. It also does not access your camera, photos, contacts, calendar, microphone, or files, and it does not use an advertising identifier or third-party advertising or analytics tracking.
When do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you register an account, sign in, update your account details, and when you purchase or use washes, wash cards and memberships in the app.
How do we use your information?
We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, complete a transaction or use certain features in the following ways:

To create and maintain your account and let you sign in.

To administer a promotion, reward or other app feature.
•
To quickly process your transactions and apply the washes, wash cards and memberships you have purchased.

To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
•
To send periodic emails, app notifications or SMS text messages regarding promotions and rewards.
How do we protect your information?
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive information you supply is encrypted in transit via Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS) technology.
All financial transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information.
Third-party disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information. We share information only with the service providers required to operate the app - our payment gateway provider, in order to process your transactions, and Google Firebase, which provides account sign-in and delivers app notifications.
Account deletion and your data
You may request that your Kitchener Car Wash account and all related data be permanently deleted. Deleting your account removes any stored payment token held on your behalf by our payment gateway provider, and permanently deletes your account and its related data.

We may retain a limited record of a transaction where we are required to do so for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes. Any such record is kept only for as long as the law requires.
